In this week’s episode, Samantha and Karenna sit down with Human Design expert Rosy Crescitelli for a grounded, insightful walk through the foundations of Human Design. Whether you’re brand new to the system or you’ve been exploring your chart for years, this conversation brings you back to the core of what Human Design is really here to do: guide you home to yourself.

Rosy breaks down the four Human Design types — Generators, Manifestors, Projectors, and Reflectors — and explains how each one is wired to move through the world, make decisions, and create in a way that feels aligned rather than forced. She also takes us through the six profile lines (1–6), sharing the essence of each number and how they shape our personality, our gifts, and the way we learn and lead.

This episode isn’t just about understanding your chart. It’s about understanding you and the people around you.

Rosy shows how honoring your design can help you thrive in your relationships, your work, and your self-expression…and how recognizing the design of others can bring more compassion, connection, and ease into every interaction.

At its core, Human Design is an invitation into deeper awareness. When we allow ourselves to explore what our type and profile reveal, we’re opening the door to greater authenticity, more aligned living, and a clearer relationship with the self.

0:02: Welcome to the Fully Expressed podcast.
0:04: We’re your hosts, Karenna and Samantha.
0:06: This show is your permission slip to stop holding back.
0:10: Here, we talk about what it really means to live unapologetically you in your relationships, your business, and your everyday life.
0:17: We believe the most magnetic version of you is rooted in self-expression, honesty, vulnerability, and showing up fully as you are.
0:24: When you own that, you naturally attract the people, the opportunities, and the life that is meant for you.
0:30: Welcome back, you guys.
0:31: On today’s episode, we are speaking with Rosy Crescitelli, who is a trauma informed human design specialist.
0:39: You guys, I love hearing Rosy speak.
0:41: It was such a great conversation to really break down what human design is.
0:45: She has a beautiful way of walking through the profiles, the types, and how human design can truly unlock your most authentic self and give you the permission.
0:53: To be more of you.
0:55: Rosy blends human design with somatic coaching to help people come home to themselves, to trust their bodies, to regulate their nervous systems, and to live in alignment with how they’re truly designed.
1:07: Her work reminds us that the foundation isn’t something we graduate from, it’s where we return again and again to find our truth, our safety, and our full expression.
1:17: Oh, this is such a good conversation, you guys.
1:19: Yes, we cannot wait to hear your feedback and enjoy.
1:23: Well, welcome.
1:24: We’re so happy to have you with us, Rosy.
1:27: I’m so happy to be here.
1:28: So happy to be here.
1:30: I know.
1:30: What’s so sweet about you being here is that we met at EOB, which is Erin Porter’s conference or conference event.
1:39: Yeah, is it?
1:40: Yeah, I would say, yeah.
1:42: And during there, like, I feel like I’ve met you both in the same way.
1:46: Like you were very motherly at the end.
1:47: You came up and you hugged me and you gave me like a kiss on the cheek after I went on stage, and you’re like, wow, I see you, and you held me and I feel like the same thing with Sam.
1:54: And so I felt so drawn to you and then This last year has been such a blessing because you’ve been coming to all of our events and then I got to also attend one of your events.
2:02: Yes, thank you for that, which was like your what popping your event cherry.
2:07: Yeah, right?
2:08: That was like a bigger event that you’ve done for sure.
2:11: I would say that and hearing you speak about human design, the way that you speak.
2:16: And I think I sent you a voice note afterwards and reflected.
2:19: I was like, you’re meant to do this.
2:21: Like you do it so beautifully and you do it so well in groups.
2:24: And so today we’re going to dive into like learning more about you and also this essence of human design that you use with the world.
2:30: I love it.
2:31: I’m here for it.
2:32: Thank you for having me.
2:33: Yeah, thanks so much.
2:35: So I’d love to start with, like, tell us a little bit about how your either your healing journey started or like when you started to come across Human Design.
2:44: Just to get to know you a little bit.
2:46: Yeah, thank you.
2:47: I, I love telling this story because the way I describe it is that Human Design found me and it was perfect because it was at my 40th birthday.
2:56: I gifted myself a retreat, with a friend who did this for a living in Hood River.
3:03: She had a beautiful home.
3:04: And it’s so funny because she called me and was like, Rosie, I need your birth information.
3:10: And I was like, OK.
3:11: She’s like, and I need like your time of birth.
3:13: It’s very important.
3:14: I was like, alright.
3:15: And I’m like, what for?
3:16: And she’s like, you’ll find out.
3:18: And she had been hosting retreats for 9 years.
3:22: And this was her first time ever introducing human design.
3:27: And her and I both know like at a soul level that that was for me.
3:32: I was knee-deep in network marketing and had been for about 5 years prior and.
3:41: When I learned my human design, I literally went down into my room and was like hiding because you’re not really supposed to be on your phone at a retreat.
3:51: And I called my, my business partner who we were doing network marketing together and I was like crying.
3:58: I didn’t even call my husband first.
3:59: I called my friend Gwen first and I was actually in one of Gwen’s events this morning and retold the story.
4:05: So I loved, I’m like, oh, I guess I’m back, going back to the beginning.
4:10: , but I was like, Gwen, I found out why I can’t keep up with you because I found out that I was a projector and that she was, she’s a generator.
4:20: And even at that very basic understanding of like just barely knowing, and the woman who was sharing wasn’t a human design expert.
4:28: She just had learned and been introduced to hers, and had enough basic information to help us.
4:34: And I spent the whole weekend just like diving into the human design rabbit hole, because I, I mean, like I can pull up that feeling in my bones of just feeling so seen and understood.
4:47: , I have a tattoo of a lighthouse on my arm that I had had 5 years before this, knowing that I was a projector, and a lot of people assign that either if you’re not thinking of like a movie projector, many people in the human design space will describe projectors as lighthouses.
5:05: And I was like, what?
5:08: And then there’s two heart centers in human design and both of mine are defined, so my other tattoo says wholehearted, and that’s like my brand, and I was like.
5:16: How is it that this chart knows me so well and.
5:21: And that was it.
5:22: Like I, I anchor into that feeling with every single person I share Human Design with.
5:28: I want them to feel seen.
5:31: I want them to feel like they have the permission to be who they always thought they were, but either couldn’t be with how they grew up or, you know, just all the reasons we don’t show up fully expressed.
5:44: And I I just, it’s always, it’s sacred.
5:48: It’s sacred every time I pull up someone’s design and I speak this truth over them.
5:54: And now my business has changed.
5:56: I was not a somatic trauma-informed human design specialist at the time.
6:01: I was a network marketer.
6:04: And I had this great idea to bring human design into network marketing and you know, I could see myself speaking on the stages and giving everyone the permission they need to be who they fully are.
6:16: And one by one as I started sharing this information with my downline, they all started leaving the network marketing space.
6:23: Like, oh, I’m not meant to do this.
6:25: And also, was it because you were giving them their signs and they’re like, Oh, I shouldn’t be here 100% you said.
6:30: Yeah.
6:31: Oh my God, that’s why I, that’s why I, I get, I, I feel the same way.
6:36: I know a little about human design and a lot about astrology, and I wish more people could be open to that because I feel like it’s, I love what you said.
6:45: I view astrology the same way, and I think human design and astrology just give people permission to be who they already know they are.
6:51: So I always like say the same thing, like I’m not telling you anything you don’t know.
6:55: This is all within you.
6:56: And you’re just like, it’s almost like you get to give people permission and awakening to who they always were, but it’s like, oh, that’s why this happens, or that’s why I struggle with this.
7:07: And it’s the permission and that’s where I think people think, oh no, it’s like boxing me in, but I always tell people it’s like it’s opening you to all the possibilities that are for you.
7:16: Yeah, there is no box.
7:18: There’s no we’re breaking the box that you were put in as a child or, you know, in, in your career, in your marriage, and you know, whatever capacity and, and, and so now what my human design.
7:32: , sharing looks like is getting the somatic tools that I’ve gathered along the way.
7:38: When there’s a resistance to me telling you how you’re designed, that’s where we pause and we stop in that space and And that was hard for me because my design is one that is a lifelong learner, and I can stay in consuming, learning, buying, studying forever.
8:01: So for me to slow down the information sharing, especially, coming from a very fundamentalist Christian background, I overshared the information to try to prove, I promise this is great information.
8:17: I promise this is going to help you.
8:20: Let me prove to you this is not anti.
8:23: This is not anti-God.
8:25: Let me prove to you.
8:26: That I’m not fill in the blanks, however you would fill in the blanks.
8:31: And, and then I, as I dove into somatics, I was like, OK, I can, I can calm that little part of me down that needs to prove and strive.
8:42: So my sessions look much different now than they did.
8:46: , 6 years ago when I, when Human Design found me.
8:50: So can we talk about, can you define what human design is and the different types, profiles?
8:56: Sure.
8:57: So, there is a strong astrology connection and, along with some Kabbalah, some Hindu chakra systems, some quantum physics, and Chinese eating.
9:11: It’s, it’s a little bit of all of those woven into its own system.
9:16: And so it is the part that everyone’s like, OK, Rosie, is I’m like, I need your birthday, your birth time, and the city you were born in.
9:24: And people are like, really?
9:25: And I’m like, mhm.
9:26: In fact, I just had that conversation with my best friend’s boyfriend.
9:30: He called and I was like, I’ll take this one.
9:32: , and so I, it’s, and I love that.
9:37: I love the simplicity of only asking those three questions because as I shared with a lifelong learner, when you take these like personality assessments and you have to go into your mind and answer questions about yourself, that’s, that’s a, a crazy place to be sometimes.
9:56: So I love the simplicity of just asking three questions.
10:00: And it prints off this chart.
10:02: It differs a little bit from the regular chakra system, a 7 chakra system, 7 chakras.
10:08: There are 9 in Human Design, and they will be either defined, meaning colored in if you, if you get your chart, or they’ll be undefined, which is the shape will be white.
10:19: And the defined are the very specific unique strengths you bring to send out into the world and to share with others, and the white is how you are to see and witness others.
10:33: So I also love that about human design, again, in juxtaposition to other personality assessments because when you are taking a personality assessment for yourself, like you stay very self-centered, like, what does this mean about me?
10:48: What does this mean about me?
10:50: But I also love to spend equally as much time as to like who, who is attracted to you and how are you designed to actually see and witness them.
11:00: And, so it’s, it’s a beautiful system.
11:05: I have loved, loved, loved learning about it.
11:08: And there are 5 different design types.
11:12: there’s the generator and manifesting generator.
11:14: I’m gonna say those together because a lot of times they get split up.
11:18: It’s really important to understand that manifesting generators are actually generator types.
11:23: Some people are like, oh, I’m, I’m a manifester, and I’m like, You have some manifester flavorings, but you’re a generator.
11:30: You’re just a faster moving generator, and that’s what you are, Sam, is that correct?
11:34: manifesting generator.
11:35: OK, so, I love to just clear that up because there’s I didn’t know that.
11:41: Oh yeah, I didn’t know that.
11:43: I mean, I don’t think people know that.
11:44: See, that’s a great fact’s important to know.
11:46: I was like I did not know.
11:48: I mean, I can, I thought like the manifesting generator had like these spurts, more than anything and like generators feels like they’re on all the time.
11:57: So that’s how I’ve been learning it.
11:59: So it’s so good that you’re like breaking this down.
12:01: Yeah, I thank you, and, and I’ll, I’ll get to this part, but I’ll, I’ll drop it in now.
12:06: Like I’ve gotten very clear over the past couple of months that I love playing in the sandbox of the basics and the foundation of human design.
12:15: I’ve been, I mean, it’s a rabbit hole, ladies, like.
12:18: I would imagine it’s like astrology.
12:20: There’s like so many variations and so many layers, and I just found out about a new type of astrology, and I’m like this is taking me down a whole another rabbit hole, and I’m like, wait, this really resonates.
12:29: So yeah, I’m sure it’s very similar.
12:30: It sounds very similar makes sense because we’re very deep layered.
12:34: Beings like we have our matrix world and then we have our soul world and then we have like the hidden layers and so it makes sense.
12:42: Yeah, thank you.
12:43: It’s exactly like that.
12:46: and we’ll get to the profile lines too.
12:48: I’m like jumping ahead, but let me just stay here.
12:50: So the basics are.
12:53: Both are generator types.
12:55: Both of you are here to like generators and manifesting generators are here to master the work that you’re here to do.
13:03: Manifesting generators usually skip skip, skip steps to that mastery.
13:08: And sometimes there’s consequences that come with skipping steps, and sometimes not.
13:13: It’s not always like a bad thing, but the generator is here to just take a step by step approach to mastery.
13:20: And they’re here to just weigh and measure everything toward, satisfaction or frustration.
13:27: And it’s important to not skip over the bad parts, the shadows, because they are just as informative, if not more so, than the good parts and the light.
13:38: In fact, many people can connect with the negative parts of their design more, more clearly.
13:43: They can access that.
13:44: We’re negatively biased, all these things.
13:47: So I actually, I, I enjoy playing in the shadows of people designs.
13:51: I think that’s a projector thing, which is what you are.
13:54: So, Yeah, so they, they are here to do work.
13:59: They’re here to master the work they’re doing.
14:01: They’re here.
14:02: Yes, you are here to work.
14:04: No, it’s not supposed to suck.
14:06: Do you feel like manifesting generators when they skip steps have to go back sometimes to like real pass over those steps they skipped?
14:13: I have noticed that sometimes they do.
14:15: My favorite illustration is one of my own children, so I have a whole human design experiment happening in my home.
14:21: , I’m a projector.
14:23: My husband’s a manifester.
14:25: Our two adult daughters are generators, both emotional generators, and our twin sons are non-emotional sacral manifesting generators.
14:35: So we have every design type except for the reflector represented in my home, and we have almost all of the profile lines represented in my home as well.
14:44: So, and several different inner authorities.
14:47: So it’s.
14:48: It’s a situation, ladies.
14:50: I’ll tell you that.
14:50: It’s helpful to have this information.
14:53: but my favorite story to illustrate your, to just answer your question is during the pandemic, my boys were in first grade, so this like very important early literacy grade.
15:04: I’m also a teacher by trade and a private tutor when I’m not doing human design.
15:08: So I was present for and grateful that I had the tools to be able to, to teach them during the pandemic.
15:15: Many parents didn’t have that.
15:17: I was grateful to have that.
15:18: , but they sent home iPads.
15:21: That’s the way their school district handled the pandemic because, you know, everyone was doing the best they could.
15:27: And my little son found the microphone button on the iPad.
15:32: So instead of like having to figure out how to spell his responses, he was like, Oh, I’ll just click this little microphone and speak my response, which is brilliant.
15:43: Yeah, yeah, but then he did not learn how to spell.
15:48: Not a spell, you know, so I was like, you know, so we, you know, and but it was just perfect.
15:54: you know, sometimes it looks like my other twins stacking up dishes to, to finish his chore, and then he drops all the dishes and they shatter into a million pieces.
16:04: Like, but it’s one less trip he had to make.
16:07: Yeah.
16:08: So sometimes it comes with consequences and sometimes they’re greater than others and it’s wise to go back and revisit.
16:16: But not all the time.
16:17: Sometimes it’s just, you’re just very efficient, quick moving, and efficiency is the part of the manifesting generator that they borrow from the manifester is, is what I, that’s the similarities they have there.
16:29: So, we talked about generator types.
16:32: They are either emotional or sacral.
16:34: So they both have that trust your gut.
16:38: In decision making, but emotional, generators or manifesting generators must, ride their emotional wave to clarity, which takes time.
16:49: So the manifesting generators I know who are emotional, that is a struggle, and a lot of times that’s where we need to slow down loving because that’s my husband, OK, and I’m, I’m a sacral.
17:00: You’re sacral, so you are quick and you have quick access and you’re just like, sometimes I’m just like, OK.
17:06: And it’s not for everything.
17:08: No, it’s not, but the big things like I say love, livelihood, and location if you’re making any decisions on those big three.
17:18: Like who you’re adding and subtracting from your life, where you’re working and where you’re living.
17:23: I’m like this tracks.
17:24: Oh, see, and I love the laughter.
17:27: Like that’s the best like I do.
17:30: I have an idea.
17:31: I do, and I can feel it.
17:33: She’s like, I know.
17:34: She’s like I already know.
17:35: Yeah, yeah, she’s like duh.
17:37: No.
17:37: And also it’s just, you know, it’s.
17:40: It’s, that’s the part where I usually have to be like, OK, let’s pause.
17:45: Let’s make peace with this emotional inner authority because they’re quick, their body and their wants to figure things out quickly.
17:54: What I love so much about this, like taking it to the personal development space and as someone that is in addicts or feelings or things like that.
18:02: Like there is this pressure to feel a lot, and then there’s this pressure of like, for some people like I need to make a decision right now, and you’re telling people to slow down and to like wait.
18:13: The other thing too is like when you’re thinking about feelings and emotions when you’re speaking your truth or authenticity, sometimes You’re like, well this, this is my truth right now.
18:23: And so you start making decisions from that truth, but it’s emotionally driven.
18:27: And to break it down, like it’s so important for us to like first in these types, you’re saying, wait until the emotion passes down so that you can find and access your truth because that feels like true in the moment.
18:39: Yes, and it’s It’s important to track your wave, which takes time, patience, self-compassion is usually very helpful for all of these processes.
18:50: And that is a part where I really have to slow down.
18:53: So many of my clients are just so hard on themselves, and I’ve had to learn self-compassion myself.
19:00: But that’s the thing, it’s like you are worth waiting for.
19:03: Your clarity is worth waiting for.
19:06: Like, Wait and see what happens when you allow yourself to wait for your clarity.
19:11: Because if you make that snapshot decision at the high of a wave when everything is clicking and everything’s firing and you’re like, yes, full body, yes.
19:21: And then you crash on your wave and that decision was made from the height.
19:26: But you were not ready for that decision at the low.
19:30: You’re right.
19:31: Like, you need to feel both so that your nervous system from a regulated, non-emotionally charged spot from either the high or the low is like, this is a yes because I felt it here and I have the capacity to move through it in the low also.
19:48: So now it’s a yes because I have felt both.
19:53: That takes time.
19:53: That was so good.
19:55: Say it later.
19:56: I have also a lot of friends who are emotionally or emotionally divine, so 50% of the world is emotional.
20:02: Oh well, that makes a lot of sense.
20:04: That makes so much sense.
20:05: 50%.
20:06: Well, it was interesting too because you know we’ve been together 10 years and in the beginning his MO was to like shut down, so there was all the emotion was going on, but it wasn’t shared, and I think through In that moment I’d be like, what’s wrong, you know, and it was that same thing like he was trying to process and understand even what was going on and so he would go take a walk and like come back and it took years of conversation to figure out that that was what was happening.
20:30: And now I, because also I’ve learned enough, I’d really, you, I love listening to this because I’m learning so much, but like I knew enough to know he was emotional, so I was like, OK, anytime he’s like.
20:41: Yes, or whatever it is, or he’s upset about something like, OK, well, let’s just like calm down, fill this out, like it’s gonna be a minute, you know, we’ll check.
20:48: Exactly 100%.
20:51: And so it helps because I’m just like, I don’t, if there’s an emotional decision to be made, I’m not like, what do you feel right now?
20:57: I’m like, let’s think about this for sure.
21:00: And, and it’s just once you learn that this is your way.
21:05: It unlocks so much.
21:07: And when your partner understands this about you, that unlocks so much.
21:14: it’s like you said for your for your kids.
21:15: You’re giving permission.
21:16: That’s always been the biggest gift with anything like this.
21:19: I did this for the angiogram and just being able to see people differently and being like, Whoa.
21:23: I understand what you need in such a different way.
21:26: You get to love them better.
21:28: And I think that’s even like the biggest gift.
21:30: Like, yes, it’s for ourselves and it’s such a freedom, but it’s also so lovely to be able to see someone so beautifully and be like, you are perfect as you are.
21:39: I’m not going to project what I think you should be doing onto you because a lot of people do and I do.
21:45: No, 100% like.
21:47: I have all of this information and I still have to return to it in those moments where my knee jerk reaction.
21:54: So for instance, I am non-emotional.
21:56: I’m splenic, and we’ll get, we, I don’t know if we’ll have time to get into all of that.
22:00: There’s so many different layers.
22:02: We haven’t even talked about the other design types, but we’ll get there.
22:04: I will.
22:05: Tell you, like my emotional, my oldest, her emotional wave is when she hits a low point, it’s really, really low.
22:14: And just so you can understand now the mechanics between having a defined emotional solar plexus as my daughter has, and me having an undefined.
22:23: As a splenic projector, I feel her emotional state even deeper than she does.
22:32: So then I try to rush her through that process and I had finally realized so that I don’t feel bad because I’m so uncomfortable.
22:42: Yeah.
22:42: , and so I have had to learn and get embodied myself to allow her to have her process without me interfering and without me trying to rush her process along.
22:58: And it’s That’s been one of my greatest faith walks is like holding her as capable of going through her own emotional process and without me interjecting, trying to rush it.
23:11: So it has changed a lot of how I parent, but I also still, I think, yes, I mean and the projections still happen and You know, all the things like, especially because you, you come with the skill sets you observed and that’s a whole other conversation.
23:28: Well, you’re being mirrored all the challenges that you’re learning in yourself because it sounds like every single one of your kids and your husband are opposite to you or like contrasting for sure.
23:36: So yeah, I mean they’re all your mirror too.
23:38: Thank you.
23:39: Hold that in yourself.
23:40: So that’s exactly what’s happening in my home.
23:43: Yeah.
23:44: So this information is helpful.
23:46: I have to remember to resource into it and And trust the process because my, my knee jerk reaction is to fix, to lighten, to repair, to, you know, and like right now.
23:59: Yeah, I think that’s very relatable.
24:01: Like when you’re not an emotional decision maker and someone else is, you’re like, it’s OK.
24:06: Like how can I make you like feel better about this?
24:09: Or I think that’s a natural instinct, especially as a woman and a mother.
24:13: Yeah, you’re like, I don’t want you to feel sad.
24:15: Yeah, thank you.
24:16: And the splenic projector is like super dialed into any danger.
24:22: Like it’s all safety and security is the theme and fear.
24:25: It activates through fear.
24:27: And like what needs, how do we need to fix this and what needs to be done to move through this and to be safe and secure again.
24:34: So then I’ve had to work on emotions are not dangerous.
24:39: I’m just gonna pause there for a minute.
24:41: And, and again, like the autonomy of like holding all of my family members capable of moving through their process in their way, Yeah, so then we, so we talked about generators and they are either emotional or sacral, and then projectors are 20% of the population, so generators and manifesting generators make up 73% of the population.
25:08: So that’s why you were just like everybody, we were just talking to Alexis and she’s like everybody’s a manifesting generator.
25:13: I’m like, yeah, yeah, they are.
25:15: , and then the 20% are projectors, and there are so many different inner authorities.
25:23: We don’t have to go through all of them, but the, the, the brilliance of projectors having so many different inner authorities is to be able to guide and direct the 73% of the population who needs help not getting burnt out, staying in their satisfying satisfaction lane, and being aware of frustration when it comes along.
25:44: And, because we primarily are here to guide and direct the generator, the sacral beings of the world, And so we have many different inner authorities so we can see and help in our own unique way.
26:01: yeah, so projectors, I’m a little partial because I am one.
26:04: I think they’re pretty rad, you’re one, so that’s fun.
26:07: I always love meeting other projectors and, Karena and I just had like a really lovely conversation, I think last week, and it was just like The every design type has its burden, it’s cross to bear.
26:21: And in my opinion, the big one for projectors is we don’t see ourselves as clearly as we see others.
26:28: And we can see others so clearly.
26:30: I mean, it makes sense.
26:31: It’s our superpower.
26:32: Yeah, you’re projecting, right.
26:34: Yeah.
26:35: So we shine into the shadows, into the storms, and, you know, and We’re not here to do the doing.
26:41: That’s why the lighthouse illustration is so wonderful.
26:45: It’s like, we’re not towing people into harbor.
26:49: We’re not out rescuing.
26:51: We’re just lighting the way and you get your own ass into a safe harbor.
26:55: You do your own work.
26:57: We’ll tell you what needs to be done, but then you do it.
27:00: We are not here to do the doing or do it for you.
27:04: So yeah, that’s the projector.
27:07: And then the manifesters are only about 8% of the population.
27:11: So now we’re getting into like the unicorn types that are just so rare.
27:16: they are also non-sacral beings, so they’re not here to do the doing.
27:21: They’re here to inform and initiate the doing.
27:25: and they can be either splenic, emotional, or ego manifested.
27:32: So we have three, We can go back and talk about the projector authorities.
27:38: I was like, no, I’m talking about all of them.
27:39: I may as well.
27:41: So we’ll rewind a little bit and so projectors can be emotional.
27:45: So that’s why 50% now you’re seeing like generators, manifesting generators, projectors, and manifesters can be emotional.
27:53: You don’t have to be a generator to be emotional.
27:56: You can be every type except for a reflector.
28:00: And be emotional.
28:01: So that’s also fascinating to just think about those mechanics.
28:07: so projectors can be emotional, they can be splenic, they can be mental projectors, they can be self-projected projectors, or ego, projectors.
28:18: There’s 5 inner authorities, and each of those has their own way of guiding and directing.
28:26: Yeah, what are each of you?
28:28: So I’m Splenic.
28:29: I’m mental.
28:30: You’re a mental projector.
28:32: So again, so Karena has a lot more openness in her design than I do in mine, and white, yes, yes, undefined, undefined, yeah.
28:43: So there are all these little terms, and human design has its own language for sure, So my inner authority works on intuition.
28:54: And as I mentioned, I gave you a little teaser, it’s very in tune with scanning for danger and being very connected, closely connected to fear.
29:04: as I’ve been doing my own deep work, I’ve realized like I am, I am a very hyper vigilant, highly sensitive, easily triggered person.
29:15: And when I realized like this is what’s right about me, I’m actually never going to be like fully regulated all the time.
29:24: There is a fine line between when I go into rumination and I, you know, you do lose like the logical part of your brain when you’re triggered, but I will always have some level of hypervigilance, always.
29:41: And I was like, whoa.
29:43: So I’ve been sharing a lot about good to accept that.
29:46: Yeah, I mean then there’s a part of me that relaxes and regulates like, oh wait, now I can take a breath because you know all the pressure that’s out there to be like, I have to be regulated or I can only make decisions through a regulated place or just constantly working back to regulation.
30:02: Also causes its own hyper hypervigilance is like, well, shit, I’m hyper vigilant and I’m being hyper vigilant and I can’t stop being hyper vigilant and I’m mad at myself for being hyper vigilant and I’m upset and then I’m holding all the shame and guilt for being hyper vigilant and you’re like, oh, it just seems like you got a lot of just described my whole life.
30:24: And I think what’s so helpful about human Design is it gives you permission, like you were talking about, to be your most authentic self, to be seen as who you are, and not to be fixed or to be changed or that you should be like this.
30:36: And this is why I love that I think you found so many gifts from Human Design because in us and other people, it’s like, this makes so much sense.
30:45: And just the acceptance and the validation of this is true and that’s OK.
30:50: You don’t have to change it.
30:50: You’re like, what?
30:52: I know.
30:52: There’s a world that exists like that.
30:54: Yes, and you get to live that for sure.
30:56: Through the lens of human design.
30:57: Yeah, and I mean I was I was I was scared to tell this story because I call it my splenic awakening just happened in February.
31:08: I’ve been, I have been.
31:11: Sharing human design for six years and like, and honestly, like my inner authority, which again is the most basic important part.
31:20: I was like.
31:21: , and I’m, my joke is that my alter ego is a 3/6 emotional manifesting generator.
31:27: So like the exact opposite of what I am actually, because I was like, oh, I can multitask like a boss.
31:35: I’ve got 4 kids.
31:36: I work, I do network marketing.
31:38: I do human design.
31:39: I and I go through things through trial and error and figure things out along the way, and I’m very emotional.
31:47: And so I’m just gonna like I identify with as my alter ego more.
31:51: And then like even as I was going through my somatic training.
31:55: I, I definitely held that picture of like, oh, I am so dysregulated all the time.
32:02: What does that mean about me?
32:04: And I made it mean, I made it mean something wrong about me.
32:08: And then in February, my 18 year old who’s away at college, came home secretly with, she was supposed to go to a concert with her older sister.
32:18: And, She didn’t go to a concert because she was so sick.
32:23: And then she told her sister like, come and get me after the concert.
32:26: I have to go home.
32:28: And Bree was like, we got to call mom and tell her.
32:30: And she’s like, no, I’ll I’ll just surprise her.
32:32: So I had no idea she was coming home.
32:35: You know, we were doing FaceTiming and I’m like, go to the clinic.
32:38: Take, you know, use these supplements.
32:41: Use your diffuser, do all these things.
32:43: And then you just expect that they’re doing all of those things.
32:46: Well, and she was, but she was so sick.
32:49: , Friday morning, she pops her head up from the couch and at first I was like, what are you doing here?
32:56: And then like she was like, hey mom, like in her super sick voice, and I immediately was like, get dressed, we’re going to the emergency room right now.
33:04: And my husband was home too.
33:05: He’s a manifester.
33:07: We, we, we were starting to talk about them.
33:10: They are very powerful beings.
33:12: It’s a blessing that there’s only 8% of them because when they speak, it is, and so it is.
33:18: And so he was like, let’s just wait a minute, have her take some ibuprofen, just pump the brakes, and I was like, no, I’m taking her right now.
33:29: And I do not speak to my husband that way, but I was so embodied with this is what needs to happen right now.
33:39: And within hours she was in the ICU and her lymph nodes were so inflamed that she couldn’t exhale properly.
33:48: So her blood, her carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide level dioxide was like they said like a 98 year old man with COPD because she couldn’t exhale exhale out, it was poisoning her literally.
34:04: So, and, and every doctor that was just constant like she’s an 18 year old soccer player.
34:11: She, you know, like they were like, you are too young to be this sick.
34:16: And I was just like, but for me, I needed I needed that outside validation.
34:22: Like nobody knew this was what was happening inside of me, but I was like, I fucking knew that my daughter needed to go and spleen in my spleen.
34:32: And that it’s a, it’s a horribly traumatic situation and also it needed for me, it needed to be that intense for me to fully trust myself.
34:42: And now I can somatically tap back into that feeling.
34:48: And that, so that’s what led me to.
34:51: Hypervigilance is a part of me.
34:53: I can use, I can use it.
34:56: I can work with it.
34:57: I can be grateful for it.
35:00: and then a couple of months later, I had another situation with my oldest.
35:05: And, and again, like my spleen had a lot to say and so I didn’t hesitate this time and it was needed.
35:13: That was actually a situation where I had to insert myself.
35:17: And I was just, and, and I I stayed in hypervigilance.
35:22: So I’ve had to learn like I’ve had to use my tools to like down regulate after something is serious, but yeah, that, that just happened in February and then in like May and because they were so close together, I was like, oh, this is what it feels like to get that splenic intuitive hit you because you had experienced it.
35:44: Yes, and now I can, now I can recognize it.
35:48: I can access it.
35:49: So I don’t wish that those kinds of crazy situations.
35:52: So now I’m My place that I see now with clarity because of what I went through is like, let me help you connect with that in the regulated moments.
36:02: So you don’t necessarily have to go through something like I did to trust yourself.
36:08: So that’s my little splenic splenic awakening story.
36:13: yeah, I think we left off with manifesters, but you got a little projectors.
36:18: Yes, so manifesters are, They are here to inform and initiate.
36:24: They have a motor to the throat is the way we, the, the mechanics, we talk about it in Human Design.
36:31: And so they have the energy to say what needs to be said to get the ball rolling.
36:39: But they’re not here to do everything that’s needed, like what’s needed to be initiated.
36:46: they’re very powerful.
36:48: I love working with manifester women.
36:52: Helping them to get their nervous system ready to be seen and heard because manifesters are here to get shit done.
37:01: So let me, let me help you.
37:04: Let me make sure you feel safe to be seen and safe to share, safe to speak.
37:10: are these, that’s like my first questions I ask.
37:13: And if they’re like, oh no, I’m like, oh, buckle up, sister, here we go.
37:18: I’ve noticed that manifester men.
37:22: have a harder time being in the humility part, like the receiving part, because they also need to be informed.
37:31: They need to give information, but they also need to receive.
37:35: So, of course, the masculine needs help with the feminine receiving.
37:40: And then the feminine manifesters usually have a hard time being in their masculine of like putting themselves out there and putting their information out into the world.
37:50: So that is what I’ve noticed, in my years of sharing Human Design is balancing out the giving and receiving and the masculine and feminine feminine with manifesters.
38:01: And then last but not least, our reflectors.
38:06: there’s one that always goes to Erin.
38:07: Oh, you met Elizabeth.
38:08: You know Elizabeth.
38:09: She came to your events.
38:10: I was like, you guys have to come.
38:11: You have to come to these events.
38:13: they’re beautiful humans.
38:15: They have all nine centers undefined, so they are taking in.
38:20: Information, energy, all the things from all the people, including, we haven’t even talked about the transits, which is like your specialty, that has an impact on the design chart as well.
38:34: so they have to wait 28 days to make their big decisions because they need to go through a full lunar cycle to have the moon light up different parts of their design.
38:45: And there, there will be a consistent pattern.
38:48: That they can track.
38:51: And it’s sort of like cycle syncing, where you, in a, in a, in an ideal human design reflector situation, you will have tracked your lunar cycle for several months and seen like when your throat lights up.
39:05: Those days you are here to be more vocal.
39:09: You might be a generator for 2 or 3 days, like Those are the days you want to plan on getting more things done.
39:16: Like you may be emotional 3 or 4 days.
39:20: So you, they’re already hopefully used to waiting to make big decisions, but also like you have a lot of emotional things to work on.
39:28: And sometimes these things have actual like physiological Connections to our body where you’re more tired or more energized or more at peace or more tormented and to just be with what is, that’s that’s the definition of a reflector, to just be with what is on that day.
39:48: Some of the things I’ve heard about reflectors is that they also struggle to know what’s theirs.
39:52: Yes.
39:53: Can you talk a little bit about that?
39:54: Yeah, I mean it’s it’s that it’s because they’re ever evolving and ever changing.
40:02: There’s actually like not very many days where they have all nine centers undefined because of the moons, because of just astrological trend.
40:11: I mean there’s so many things happening astrologically like Age of Aquarius, like Pluto, Saturn, like these planets that never move are all moving.
40:21: They’re all changing signs.
40:23: The ones that never move, they’re always moving.
40:26: They’re all moving right now.
40:27: Yeah, they’re all changing from fire and air or from earth and water to fire and air.
40:32: That is, I mean, there’s great, there’s a lot of shit happening, yeah.
40:37: It’s funny because the woman who introduced me to astrology that like opened the because astrology found me too, she’s a reflector.
40:45: I love that.
40:45: And now that I think about because I follow her for a long time before, or like not a long time, but like I followed her, everything you’re saying, I’m like, oh my God, that makes so much sense because she’s very consistent on social media, and that’s exactly how she shows up.
40:59: Like every day it’s a different, I’m like, haven’t seen that side of this person.
41:02: Like haven’t seen this.
41:03: I was, it was interesting to see, yeah, you just defined her to a T.
41:07: I love it.
41:08: I love it.
41:08: I.
41:09: I know of one reflector who does astrology.
41:11: I’m curious if it’s the same person, and she lives like on a farm in Oregon.
41:15: OK.
41:16: And she, I don’t think she does, what’s her human design, but I can’t think of her name.
41:21: I’ll, I’ll look it up.
41:23: But she, I mean, what a beautiful choice of a career for a reflector because the harvest is so connected to the seasons and the moons and all like the moon cycle and all of that.
41:36: So to answer your question, Karina, It is, it is.
41:40: It’s just a showing up of who you are in that moment without without making it mean anything bad about you, or good about you.
41:51: That’s the thing is, it is a surrendered life of just trusting what is in the moment.
41:59: And the way I come at it when I have the privilege of working with a reflector is ensuring that they have a resourced Way of releasing energy at the end of the day.
42:12: Because even though they may not have all 9 undefined, they will have 7 undefined, maybe, you know, you always have to have like at least 2 connected.
42:23: So they, they more, more than likely have have like 7 undefined and 2 are defined.
42:30: , but sometimes they’ll have a lot of definition, but it only lasts 3 days.
42:38: Like the lunar cycle is every 2 to 3 days the moon changes phases.
42:42: Is that about right?
42:43: 32 to 3.
42:44: So there you now you’ve got opened up.
42:46: It just makes, I feel like I understand this person so much more now because that’s how she showed up in school too, like teaching astrology was like this is.
42:54: Because I took her class live.
42:56: Now it’s for, I think she does it Evergreen now, but she was just like, this is how I feel today and this is what we’re talking like that’s very much how she was for her.
43:04: Yeah, she’s a great teacher.
43:05: I mean, yes, I love that, and she knew her human designs.
43:08: I don’t know how well, but I think, sure, and I mean like it’s perfect that she’s also tracking the transits because that is her lived experience is being very.
43:17: Very closely connected to, because the transits will impact your design for 3 days without anyone else impacting it.
43:27: But then like to to then like revisit your question again, like one, I have, I have 6 centers defined as a projector, which is sort of rare to have that much definition.
43:40: So like when I’m with Elizabeth, my token reflector friend, like she’s got a lot more energy when she’s with me then because she’s taking mine in.
43:53: So it is a great question.
43:55: Yes, it’s a great question.
43:58: How do you know what’s yours?
44:00: That is the question.
44:02: Of all my, and, and it’s unfair for Elizabeth to like pull everybody’s charts and just, but she, but to be like aware of like, oh my word, all of a sudden I’m, I have more fear or I have more like, like I, my spidey senses are going crazy.
44:20: Well that’s my probably my spleen doing what it does.
44:23: Like.
44:23: And to just, it’s not wrong for her, but to know like I’m not going to have this all the time, to not be too attached.
44:32: Like that’s the biggest thing I think I’m hearing is like the unattachment that she has to practice.
44:36: I know another reflector really well and she was always talking about that and I know, I know a couple of reflectors actually I know 3.
44:43: I know a few.
44:43: That’s really wonderful.
44:47: I know a few of them and That was always their practice of like being able to come back or like they didn’t know who they’re going to be around like when they first learned about it, there was a little bit of fear.
44:58: They’re like, well, I don’t want to go pick up your juju.
45:01: Like what if I don’t want that right now?
45:02: Well, for sure.
45:03: And so I can get that.
45:04: And so the unattachment or the being with and literally just being.
45:07: With, it feels like constantly coming back to that.
45:09: , your, your share just reminded me that I didn’t, I talked about, sorry, I talked about satisfaction and frustration with the generators, manifesting generators.
45:20: These are the basics that are just so important and will also answer your question.
45:24: Projectors are here for success and need to be aware of what’s bringing bitterness.
45:30: The bitterness also connects to the very basics, like we’re here to be seen, we’re here to guide and direct, not the whole world, only the people that want our guidance.
45:41: Because when we, when we dial in, I mean, especially like you bring such presence, friend, like People need to be ready for that.
45:50: And then it helps us not waste our limited energy on people who don’t want it.
45:58: So lesson in my life, girl, same.
46:00: You have no idea.
46:01: I I do have an idea.
46:04: This is where all my friendship breakups.
46:06: This is where all my friendship breakups came from, you know, I, I do.
46:10: I know.
46:11: So the success and bitterness and then for the manifester, it’s peace or anger.
46:17: Like talk about two opposing.
46:19: Energies.
46:20: Like they’re here to inform and initiate to create peace.
46:25: But when they are not informed or informing and that efficiency is gummed up, anger will come up in its place.
46:34: And then for the reflector, I love the definition of the reflector.
46:38: They’re here to be surprised and delighted.
46:41: I know, isn’t that precious?
46:43: Or disappointed.
46:46: That’s the opposite.
46:47: That’s the opposite.
46:48: So like when you’re saying like, oh my gosh, I’m absorbing everybody.
46:51: I don’t want their bad juju.
46:52: that’s the disappointment side.
46:54: But isn’t it just a choice to just be like, wow, look at all this passion you’re bringing.
47:01: Look at all of this energy you’re bringing.
47:03: Like, wow, you know, like surprised and delighted at how different we all are and how amazing it is to have 3 days of consistent Voice or consistent emotional intelligence.
47:18: And like, and then when they are experiencing these different things lit up in their body graph, they can see and witness and be surprised and delighted by others.
47:29: So it’s nice to know, it’s nice to know that you have access to both, and that both are here to be used well, not to just be like stay in the doldrums of the disappointment.
47:43: The anger, the bitterness and the frustration.
47:46: It’s like to know like, oh, these, those things are here to those feelings and sensations in my body are here to inform me and help me move through my life well and how I’m designed.
48:00: And what was it for generators and manifesting generators?
48:03: , either satisfaction or or frustrations.
48:08: Yeah, and, and it ties again to the basic parts of like generators are here to work.
48:13: They’re here to do.
48:14: No, it’s not supposed to suck and be frustrating all the time.
48:17: It’s not that you can ever have it, but like every ping of frustration is here to just help you be like, OK.
48:26: And so you go back to the other basic part and I’m like this would have been nice if I had just said it all at the same time, but it’s, I’m just trusting the process.
48:33: It’s we’re on a journey.
48:36: Thank you.
48:37: so generators are here to respond.
48:40: Yes, they’re here to work.
48:42: Yes, they have the energy to work.
48:44: No, they’re not here to do everybody’s work for them or do all the work around them all the time.
48:50: It’s here to be in pure response.
48:53: So when you print off your human design chart, it will say generator, it will say sacral or emotional, and then it will say wait to respond.
49:03: What’s an example of responding?
49:05: So let me think.
49:07: , generators work best with yes no questions.
49:12: You can try this with Sam.
49:14: So we love open-ended questions because we’re like, tell us a lot of everything.
49:21: Then she needs, she, I asked her I need a yes or no, and I’m like she’s like, it’s a baby.
49:26: She’s like, I don’t know, I’m undecided.
49:28: And I’m like, I feel like you just choose one then you’ll find your no.
49:32: I’m always giving her that one conversation that we had and I was like.
49:35: If you choose a yes, it could always end up being a no.
49:37: You’ll know by choosing a yes or choosing a no.
49:40: That is one way.
49:41: Absolutely.
49:42: It’s just an idea because she’s always kind of living in this in between.
49:45: I’m going to help you biohack Sam right now.
49:47: OK, great.
49:49: Biohack away.
49:49: I love the profile lines and if we have time to go into them, I would love it because I love them.
49:56: And because now you know these things.
49:58: OK, Sam’s here to respond.
49:59: OK, yes, no, OK, but sometimes she says maybe.
50:03: So then I like to move to the next one.
50:06: So the 5, the 5 is the solution finder.
50:13: So if there’s a problem, Sam will activate with a solution.
50:18: If she’s not activating that way, her first line, I’m a first, I’m a 14.
50:23: So you’re a 51, you have the 1 2nd, and this is her subconscious programming and processing, the second number in the, the 1.
50:34: So if her, if she’s, if something inside of her is like, hold on.
50:41: I’m telling you it’s her first line that needs a firm foundation of either more information, more insight.
50:49: She needs a somatic, I’m going to speak your language.
50:54: She needs a somatic secure supply of information and resource to know it’s a full body yes.
51:02: Her body will not say yes until she has that foundation of information.
51:06: She needs more.
51:07: She needs more information.
51:10: The one also has a shadow of always wanting information.
51:15: So that is when, so at your projector friend.
51:20: can tell you when you’re in shadow and you are just because we can be a bottomless pit of information.
51:28: And and it can go, I’m a 14.
51:31: I’m the opposite.
51:33: So I lead with needing a lot of information and then being splenic, I also have to feel safe in my body.
51:42: , but you got a little sample of my fourth line.
51:46: It stretches all the way to San Clemente, like, like, and this happens to me all the time.
51:51: Where you meet someone and they know someone or you you’re all connected.
51:54: Yes, when I got my very first human design reading, not the one from the retreat, but like a printed one, like I just literally picked, I had no I, I didn’t know anyone.
52:05: I just picked someone.
52:07: And she, the thing she said where I was like, how does she know this about me?
52:11: She’s like, you can literally travel across the country and never stay in a hotel.
52:15: You’d rather sleep on a friend’s couch than go to a hotel room.
52:18: And I’m like, how did she know that about me?
52:22: I mean, it’s like sometimes it drives my kids crazy, but I’m like, oh, I’ve got a friend that lives there.
52:27: And they’ll be like, of course you do, mom.
52:29: Or I also have the superpower of Making every stranger a friend, I have a bracelet that says strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet.
52:39: That’s awesome.
52:40: We all need that.
52:41: That should be a sweatshirt.
52:42: I love it.
52:43: Let’s do it.
52:43: Let’s make the sweatshirts.
52:44: So, so we’ve talked about 3 of them.
52:48: Do you mind if I finish up the other 3 profile lines?
52:50: Sure.
52:50: So with the first line is the foundation.
52:53: It’s a house analogy, and it, it requires a foundation of information.
52:58: And it, it needs what it needs to feel secure in its decisions.
53:04: they are also the resources for other people.
53:08: So it’s a, it’s both.
53:09: We need to be resourced and we are also the resource of for people.
53:15: the second line are, they’re just naturally gifted.
53:20: But they do have like a hermit flavoring where they are, they’re in the first floor of a house.
53:27: It’s night, and the, the shades are open.
53:30: So everyone can see in.
53:32: They can see how beautifully you’ve decorated your house.
53:35: They can see you dancing naked, and, and man, you are putting on a show.
53:38: You really know your dance moves.
53:39: How did you learn how to dance like that?
53:41: And then you go over to the piano and you start playing piano and you have your own painted artwork on the walls.
53:46: Like everyone’s like, you’re so gifted.
53:50: They can’t see their own giftedness.
53:53: They have to be called out.
53:56: But they don’t want to be called out because they’re hermits.
53:59: So they have this like introverted, extroverted dance.
54:03: But I always, I love meeting, I, I have a little design envy for second lines because they are just natural.
54:10: It just flows naturally out of them.
54:12: I think Elsie’s 2.
54:14: I think she is too.
54:15: I think it’s a 2 in her profile.
54:17: I just don’t know what it is.
54:18: We’ll have to find out.
54:20: She’s the first person that’s coming, and she’s so naturally gifted as a healer and an energetic worker.
54:28: Oh, I, yeah, yeah, I was just gonna say, and she attracts these insane experiences like one that comes to mind when we’ve, she’s my longest friend, I think I was in high school.
54:39: She was in a bookstore.
54:40: She’s like in her early late 20s, early 30s.
54:42: She’s in a bookstore and a man walks up to her and she’s never met him and he goes, Shell, what’s her name.
54:49: I have some things I want to tell you.
54:51: Do you want to hear them?
54:52: And he sat down and told her all these insane things about her life and her purpose and what she was here to do.
54:58: And then he’s like, OK, have a wonderful day, and walked away and she like went to go find, like thank him gone.
55:05: She has experiences like that all the time, these like insane energetic psychic experiences, but she’s a hermit, and I’m like, you have to share your gifts with the world.
55:15: And all these messages have come in her life to tell her that, but she constantly has to be reminded.
55:21: Over and over and over.
55:22: Yes, and it’s, and that is the, the, the cross she bears me to.
55:27: She has all this grace and ease, but no belief in that she has these gifts and so much creativity and like, yeah, she’s so gifted.
55:34: They have to be drawn out and she has to trust her people.
55:37: I what I tell my second line people is open a note on your phone.
55:42: Call it my friend’s reflections of me.
55:45: And just start paying attention to how people affirm you, how they see the people you know, love and trust.
55:52: Believe them when they say these things about you.
55:54: Believe them, they know.
55:56: So the three moves from the front living room with the shades open and it’s night, so the lights are on, but, so you can’t see out, but everyone can see in.
56:05: That’s the 2.
56:06: And then the third line is in the kitchen experimenting, like cutting their finger, burning their fingers, burning the food, putting too much salt.
56:15: They’re just experimenting.
56:17: They have no recipe.
56:18: They’re not following a recipe.
56:20: They’re just throwing things in and it’s, you know, it’s like ratatouille.
56:24: It’s just a, it’s a snake.
56:26: You’re just trial and erring everything, but you heal quickly.
56:32: You learn your lessons well.
56:34: And you’re here to spare the rest of us the finger cutting and the finger burning and the ruining of the dinner because you’ve already done it.
56:43: You’ve learned these really hard lessons.
56:46: You’ve embodied the lesson, and now we’re all just sitting and waiting to hear what insights did you learn?
56:53: So, I love, I start with my third line humans with, do you have a self compassion practice?
57:01: Because if you are here, I’m here to tell you, you are designed to go through life through trial and error.
57:07: So please be kind to yourself while you’re going through it.
57:10: I’d be so curious if that’s a lot of Scorpio North nodes because that is like the the path of the Scorpio North node is like burning shit to the ground and rebuilding.
57:19: It’s like constant death and rebirth.
57:22: They tend to have a lot of hard lessons.
57:24: I think it’s the hardest North node because it’s just a constant release.
57:28: You’re learning to detach from everything, but also you’re learning how to have self-worth and value.
57:36: So it sounds very similar to that.
57:38: Like I see them as phoenix.
57:39: Yes, exactly, that’s Scorpio, the Phoenix rising rise from the ashes literally again and again and again, and they don’t, I mean, you don’t ever skip that step.
57:49: I’m like, sorry, your soul chose this, I promise.
57:51: I know, I say this, I try and so that’s why I’m like, let’s let’s find a way for you to laugh and learn.
57:57: Like, oh, here’s one of the, I mean, because laughter is good medicine.
58:01: And if you are here on this path that is going to be more challenging.
58:06: I also tell them like, titanium, play that song.
58:09: Like you are bulletproof, you are fire resistant.
58:12: You will rebuild and be reborn again and again.
58:17: The rest of us are not.
58:18: They’re the strongest people.
58:19: I mean, they’re just like this shit they’ve gone through, and then they just, they’re so strong.
58:24: Yes,, so that is the third line, and then the fourth line is the stairs that connect the bottom floor to the top floor.
58:33: So they’re here to be the connectors, the networkers, the referral-based business practice, you know, like it’s like it’s just, you know, someone everywhere.
58:44: , we talked about the 4, so I won’t spend much more time on that one.
58:48: And then we, I told you a little bit about the 5.
58:51: It is, heretic energy.
58:54: So like save your energy, like, but like martyred for your message.
59:00: It is not going to land with everyone, but the people it does land with, their lives will be changed and transformed.
59:08: So I tell my 5th, yeah, basically.
59:13: So my 5th line friend, the, the medicine I always give my 5th line people is boundaries bring joy because people will project all of their problems onto you because they know you are capable of fixing them.
59:30: So find a way to get paid for that.
59:35: Tell everyone to laugh.
59:36: I mean, it, it is, it is like laughter, right?
59:39: You’re making me laugh.
59:41: And also like be equally as clear of what you do not do.
59:47: You will never be able to like offset what everyone thinks you can do, but as much as you can have boundaries around when you work, have a hard stop for the for your day, be clear of what you offer and as much as you can be clear of what you don’t do.
1:00:05: I do not take calls at night.
1:00:06: I do not take calls on the weekend.
1:00:08: I have holidays off.
1:00:10: I, whatever that is.
1:00:13: So that people can at least be like, oh, that’s right, she told me she doesn’t answer the call.
1:00:17: Answer my calls at 3 a.m. when I have a problem.
1:00:20: I know.
1:00:20: But Sam, I know you can solve it like, and you probably can.
1:00:25: But boundaries spring joy, repeat after me.
1:00:27: Boundary spring I’m laughing because one day Austin, I think I had like 4.
1:00:31: Friends voice note me things and Austin’s like, this is getting out of control.
1:00:37: Like stop.
1:00:38: Like you can’t because it does, it’s draining after.
1:00:41: I mean, you, you can of course like give advice and hold the space, but yeah, he, he’s so funny.
1:00:47: He’s just like his scorpionic energy was like this is too much.
1:00:51: Yeah, yeah, enough already.
1:00:52: And I will also tell you that none of us, now that we’ve talked about the third line.
1:00:58: None of us have are exempt from going through, especially entrepreneurship without trial and error.
1:01:06: All of us go through a trial and error.
1:01:09: So even though you’re like, well I have to go through, I have to figure things, yes, you do.
1:01:14: So in that regard, it’s like, OK, now I know the 4th call is 1 too many because now I’m depleted.
1:01:22: That’s the way you also stay, is this no longer sad like because it is going to be satisfying for you to help your friends find solutions.
1:01:30: Yeah, it does feel good.
1:01:32: Until it doesn’t, it doesn’t, and then it doesn’t, and then it doesn’t, and then it’s frustrating frustrated and you’re depleted.
1:01:39: frustrated.
1:01:40: Yeah, so it’s, that’s what I mean.
1:01:42: It’s all just here to help instruct and inform.
1:01:45: And, then the 6th line is the roof.
1:01:49: So the 5th line is on the top floor, but they, the lights, they’re, they’re out hanging out the window and just telling everybody what to do and solving everyone’s problems.
1:01:57: They’ve got a higher perspective.
1:01:59: And then the sixth line is we say on the roof, so they they actually do always have a higher perspective.
1:02:06: The thing that’s fascinating about the 6th line is they go through a 3rd line experience in their 1st 30 years of life.
1:02:15: Yes, I did.
1:02:16: There you go.
1:02:16: Oh, you’re a 6th line?
1:02:18: Yeah, yeah, 6.
1:02:19: There you go.
1:02:21: So, so you had to go through it, embody your lessons.
1:02:28: And then I see, I’m an early literacy specialist, so I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar as the illustration.
1:02:34: It’s like you start as the caterpillar, you eat everything, and you get really sick in those 1st 30 years.
1:02:41: And then you eat a nice green leaf and you make your cocoon, you turn into complete mush, reorient your life.
1:02:50: I mean, like, it’s, you cannot make sense.
1:02:53: It’s all just goop from 30 to 50.
1:02:57: But you do have the, the insights you gained going through those 1st 30 years.
1:03:02: And then from 50 on, you are just this wise role model is what we say, it’s role model energy.
1:03:10: But you carry that potential in all three phases.
1:03:15: It is a calming and a settling and an emerging from the cocoon, a beautiful butterfly.
1:03:20: That takes time to percolate, develop.
1:03:25: But even like 33 of my 4 children have 6 lines.
1:03:31: I’ll just pause there for a effect.
1:03:34: but it’s nice for me to know, like that is probably my number one thing that changed in my parenting was me stopping saying like, why do you have to learn the hard way?
1:03:44: I used to say that to my oldest all the time before I found this information.
1:03:48: Why can’t you just trust me?
1:03:49: Why do you have to learn the hard way?
1:03:50: And now I, now I say, what did you learn from this experience?
1:03:55: Because that’s the part I’m like, let’s let that land and anchor, you’re gonna need that wisdom.
1:04:00: Later on in life, and so the, when I’m grounded and can show up resourced to that, those are the types of conversations I can have with my children when they’re in it, sometimes I don’t still handle it well.
1:04:13: I’m getting better though, so I love the profile lines because they, we wanna talk about permission slips.
1:04:20: It really helps to show up, empowered, clear.
1:04:27: And you open your mind to all the possibilities.
1:04:30: And I love that you’re a 46 and you’re a 5-1, like 4 of the six profile lines are addressed between the two of you.
1:04:37: You have the energy, you give the guidance, like, It’s beautiful and I’ve benefited from being a part of your group and community and, and I’m like, yes, of course you have 1/4 line, you hold impeccable space for people and you shine in a group setting, which is not always the case.
1:04:55: Sometimes group dynamics can be very, I mean group dynamics are very challenging.
1:05:00: No matter what.
1:05:02: But like you shine in them because, and I feel like I do too, like, so I’m, I’ve been teaching human design, but I’ve, I’ve really been embodying my own.
1:05:13: So for me to use my first line and to stay in that foundational information.
1:05:17: I mean, look, we’ve Probably gone over time and we’re just barely scratching the surface, but the basic things are the most important things.
1:05:25: Everything else gets filtered through your type, your strategy, your authority, and your profile lines.
1:05:33: And then the rest is just gravy.
1:05:35: But if you’re doing those basic things and showing up in those ways, Every other part of your design clicks into place.
1:05:44: And a lot of people try and like skip to their digestion or their variables and their this and their that and all these other things.
1:05:53: And it’s like, how are you here to be?
1:05:56: How are you here to make decisions?
1:05:57: And how do you know if you’re on the right path?
1:06:00: Your strategy and authority and your type, and your profile lines.
1:06:05: So I’m just hanging out there and creating small groups to practice safely together.
1:06:11: I love this so much.
1:06:12: I feel like we could have listened to you for hours.
1:06:14: I’m like.
1:06:15: I want more.
1:06:16: This is why we’re going to get a session with her.
1:06:18: I want one myself, but everyone can get sessions with you because you just, the love.
1:06:23: One thing I just want to reflect back is like like what I’ve told you so many times, like you know this so well and you make it so easy for people to understand and you have stories and things that just like you talk to someone, obviously you see people, but like, you know what I mean, you see them so clearly through human design and it’s really beautiful to be a part of.
1:06:39: Yeah, thank you.
1:06:40: Yeah, every time we I I’ve gone to experience you multiple times, but I’m sure you feel the same way.
1:06:45: Yeah, absolutely, you’re an amazing teacher.
1:06:46: Thank you.
1:06:48: And you have the teacher energy too.
1:06:49: I do.
1:06:50: Which teacher energy is so important because if you can be a good teacher and you can explain something so beautifully, it’s gonna really unlock for people.
1:06:57: Yeah.
1:06:57: And that’s even as a teacher, I stay in the like early literacy playground of teaching kids how to read and the basic of like number sense.
1:07:06: I, I’m just like, oh yeah.
1:07:08: I totally just do all the basic foundational things and whatever I’m doing and, and to let that be OK, that I’m not in the deeper aspects of human design.
1:07:18: I mean, I feel the same way about astrology.
1:07:19: Like I tell people just know your North node.
1:07:21: Like even you speaking into her sixth line, she’s a sad North node.
1:07:25: She’s here to become the wise sage.
1:07:27: Throughout her life, she’s becoming the wise sage that is the leader and like the guide for other people, but she has to figure out.
1:07:34: That for herself first, like it, I mean, obviously it’s based in astrology, so it makes sense that it’s coming up, but I tell people like just know that and you’re already like ahead of the game of what you’re here to like embody and learn.
1:07:45: Like you don’t, you could go way deep into like this degree at this time, at this second in this transit, but like is it going to do you any good if you can’t understand just the basics of aren’t the basics the most important though in my life I would think spoken like a first line, yes, yes.
1:08:04: Like, here, let me solve your problems.
1:08:06: Just go back to the basics, beginner in mind.
1:08:08: You don’t need to go all, yeah, you don’t need to go down into the depths of that unless you’re like already solidified in the basics.
1:08:15: And we always come back to the basics.
1:08:17: Like I think about anything, any life experience, anything that’s going on, it’s like, it’s just go back to the basics, as simple as like let’s just breathe, you know, or like even in somatics, it’s not this whole ordeal.
1:08:26: It’s just like, what are the basics?
1:08:27: How do I connect to what I’m.
1:08:28: Feeling.
1:08:29: I know how do I work through that, you know, like all the devices that have been created to help us manage our nervous system.
1:08:34: I’m like, just take your damn shoes off and put your feet in the grass and as Karina would say, breathe, just do the basics.
1:08:41: Like this is where I get caught up with like even health sometimes.
1:08:44: I look at people and I’m like, you’re dabbling in all these things, but do you have the basics down?
1:08:48: Yes.
1:08:49: Like there’s some people in my life I’m like they’re like, I just can’t answer my health stuff.
1:08:52: and I’m like, I get it, but Are you committed to the basics, but they’re looking for another solution.
1:08:57: I think it’s just part of our culture sometimes.
1:08:59: I think we need both, but the basics are just so important and they move the needle so greatly, which I think is like a huge takeaway from this.
1:09:07: It’s like just establish the basics and you will move mountains.
1:09:11: Do this and you will move mountains.
1:09:13: That’s all you need.
1:09:14: And accept who you are, you don’t have to be anything you’re not.
1:09:17: That’s right, totally.
1:09:18: , OK, as we start to transition, I want to ask you a question that we ask all of our guests.
1:09:23: Yes, where in your life do you feel called to be more fully expressed?
1:09:29: I love this question.
1:09:32: and Sam, I think both of you saw this post.
1:09:35: I, I dabbled in some fully full expression this last week.
1:09:39: , as I mentioned, growing up very fundamentalist Christian, and then here I am in this like very new age.
1:09:47: I’m using air quotes because it’s the oldest information we have.
1:09:51: Literally not new at all.
1:09:53: , but I’m letting that part of me shine unapologetically, and it’s taken me this long to feel safe enough to do that.
1:10:03: but I I love all of this, and I’m not trying to convince my fundamentalist Christian friends and family and community that they should try human design.
1:10:15: Like I’m just allowing this to be who I am.
1:10:19: And I know that my faith has grown tenfold since I have opened my eyes to how beautifully curated every human is.
1:10:31: Like when I tell you my work with human design is sacred, I mean it.
1:10:35: Like, I’m like, oh, this is how you were made in God’s image.
1:10:39: I can’t wait to share this information with you.
1:10:42: And and so yeah, I’m I’m allowing myself to be more fully expressed about How much I love the moon and the stars and crystals and cycles of the earth and the body, and it’s all, you know, and then through human design, just seeing how beautifully and wonderfully every human is made.
1:11:03: It’s been And now I’m just like not ashamed of that part of me, so.
1:11:09: I bought a little sweater that says good witch and I wear it and I love it that’s like my my coming out party.
1:11:16: I mean I’ve been sharing this for a while, but I’ve always, there’s been some trepidation and now I’m like I’m done feeling like this and I feel like it brought me closer to God.
1:11:25: Like 100% how divine it is.
1:11:27: Inexplainable when you start to study the stars, how intricately connected we are and like all you have to do is look at pictures of nature and then look at our, our fingerprints and our organs and our brain.
1:11:40: Like it’s so inextricably linked that it’s like we are God and God is us and like you can have it all.
1:11:47: Like it’s all God.
1:11:49: It wouldn’t have been given to us if it wasn’t God.

1:12:05: Yeah, we’ll do a part two.
1:12:07: Please, please.
1:12:08: Yes.
1:12:08: Part two, moving past the fundamentals.
1:12:10: There you go into the, I don’t know, the next step, but yeah, no, it’s the deeper layers.
1:12:14: Thank you.
1:12:15: Keep sharing it.
1:12:16: Yeah, share it louder.
1:12:18: Share it loudly, received and boldly.

#148: Building a Life, a Business, and a community with Sammie Rae Howard

In this episode, we sit down with creative brand expert Sammie Rae Howard, founder of Little & Much Creative and The Football Wives Club. As a football coach's wife, Sammie has never lived anywhere for more than two years, and she opens up about what it's really like to keep starting over: solo parenting through the season, building a business on the move, and finding consistency that isn't tied to an address. Plus, why she built a community so no woman has to start over alone, and why she's choosing freedom over being liked by everyone. If you've ever had to rebuild your life somewhere new, this one is for you.

#147: Choosing From Your Values, Not Your Wounds with Christine Hassler

This week we sit down with master coach, spiritual psychologist, and bestselling author Christine Hassler, who has spent over two decades helping people get out of their own way. Christine gets incredibly honest with us about being diagnosed with depression at 10, spending 20 years on medication, and what it finally took to come off. She opens up about a broken engagement, a divorce, a decade of being single, and what shifted inside her that allowed her to truly receive love.

#146: How to Stop Overpaying the IRS with Kymbirley Brake

In this episode, we sit down with tax strategist Kymbirley Brake for a conversation that goes far beyond deductions and spreadsheets. Kymbirley opens up about becoming a mother to a daughter with special needs, the health scares that nearly took her daughter from her, and the inward journey those experiences forced her onto, one that, unexpectedly, led her to becoming a tax attorney and strategist. She shares what it's like to finally be finding herself at 40, the resilience it took to get here, and her mission of helping female founders understand the numbers behind their businesses. This one is equal parts knowledge and heart.

#145: Growing an Audience With Heart, with Aime Salomón

In this episode, we sit down with brand strategist and creative director Aime Salomón for a candid conversation about what it was like building a business from nothing, as a single mother. Aime opens up about the moment she realized the very skills that grew her own Instagram following were skills she could teach others, and how that realization became Bloom Creative Studio. We talk about what it's really like to build a brand across cultures and languages, and Aime shares her own hard-won tips on what actually matters when it comes to growing on Instagram.

#144: Cultivating Joy and Play in times of Uncertainty with Karenna and Samantha

When you can connect back with the inner child within, you can remember that truth. While we may not know what is around the corner for us, we are also not guaranteed tomorrow. So why not choose joy.

#142: Congruence Is the Competitive Edge with Jaden Hummel

Jaden Hummel is a leadership coach for founders and a 3x entrepreneur who has spent a decade at the intersection of business strategy and human performance. #140: Unstructured: The Pivot

In this month's unfiltered conversation, Karenna and Samantha get into the pivot — the reevaluation so many of us are quietly in the middle of right now.
